Christmas is a season of love

A season of love that changes humanity forever. “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have an everlasting life” in John 3:16.

Christmas is known all around the world as a season of love and sharing – people give and receive lots of gifts, the streets are decorated with beautiful and colourful lights.

As Pastor Leni said “Christ wasn’t born for Christmas but for us to be saved”, which means that beyond the whole season of celebration and love, the main love story in this season of love is found in the book of John 3:16, which shows us the reason for this season of love, in which God sent his only son that anyone who believes in him would be saved.

The sermon touched several areas of the true meaning of this season of love. The congregation was filled with laughter as Pastor Leni reminded the church of who they are in Christ and not “monkeys” evolutionary theorists say.

Several lessons were taken from the teaching, as questions such as: why did Jesus come into the world? Why did He come as a baby? Why was He given birth by a virgin? were all tackled by Pastor Leni as she fed the church with several scriptures, both from the old and new testament.

Pastor Leni encouraged the church using the letter of Paul to the Philippians “in Christ we have everything”.
